**LT GOVERNOR Democratic Candidate KNOWLEDGE!**
**Alex Bastani:** A lawyer and former union president, he also is an actor and an economist who worked at the Bureau of Labor Statistics for 33 years. He led the American Federation of Government Employees Local 12 for 11 years, representing workers at the U.S. Department of Labor.

**Ghazala Hashmi:** A state senator from Chesterfield since 2020, she was a professor for nearly 30 years at the University of Richmond and Reynolds Community College, where she was founding director of The Center For Excellence In Teaching & Learning.

**Babur Lateef:** An eye doctor, he owns Advanced Opthalmology Inc. in Prince William and Manassas. He has served on the Prince William County School Board since 2018 and been its chair since 2019. He previously served as chair of the board of the UVa Health System.

**Aaron Rouse:** A state senator from Virginia Beach since 2023, he served on the Virginia Beach City Council from 2019 to 2022. A defensive back at Virginia Tech, he played safety in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers, the New York Giants and the Arizona Cardinals.

**Victor Salgado:** A longtime federal prosecutor, he has worked as a senior counsel in the Justice Department's Public Integrity section and previously prosecuted banking and cryptocurrency violations. He also has worked as a prosecutor with the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice.

**Levar Stoney:** Richmond's mayor from 2017 to 2025, he previously served as secretary of the commonwealth under Gov. Terry McAuliffe from 2014 to 2016. He also has worked as executive director of the Democratic Party of Virginia.

Because King William County has ended the contract with Pamunkey Regional Library, we will not be meeting at the Upper King William Library location this summer! While King William County renovates the Parks & Rec Building for use as the future KW Library, we have secured locations for our June, July, and August meetings.
We will be meeting at the Third Union Baptist Church in June, and at the office at 694-K Sharon Road (next door to the current Upper King William Library) in July and August.
***But for May 17th, we are still at the Upper King William Library!*** **See you there!**

Write post cards with candidate/voting information to neighbors, Make phone calls to potential voters

Using a “texting system,” (not your personal phone) engage with potential voters
Visit neighbors to provide information about our candidates and voting, Display signs on your property
Engage with fellow voters, Communicate important information within your existing networks (churches, social circles, professional organizations, etc.)
Donate funds to help pay for postcards, postage, and yard signs.
